Jackie, Softball Instructor, played her college career at the University of Arizona, where she helped lead the Wildcats to three Women’s College World Series appearances. Coburn started all four years for the Wildcats, splitting time between catcher and third base. She finished her career 21st on the all‐time NCAA Homerun List and fifth in Arizona history with 52. Coburn finished her senior year hitting .282 with 10 homeruns and 48 RBIs. Her 10 homeruns were tops on the team and her 48 RBIs were second. She hit at least 10 homeruns in each of her four years at Arizona while driving in 193 runs in her career. After being selected by the Heat in the first round of the 2005 College Draft, Coburn emerged as the primary catcher. She finished the season hitting .330 with 5 homeruns and 26 RBIs. Coburn also led the Heat in walks and sacrifice flies on her way to being named the teams Rookie of Year.
